Last set of cards from day 2...... and I still have 3 days of classes to go through.

I really enjoy the content of the Online Card classes, they are well worth the value and even though you may not have the same stamps or papers to use like you are provided with in traditional classes, you get all the techniques hints and tips and there are always items in your stash that you can use to re-create the ideas.
This is my His & Hers example of Shari Carroll's cards which I have taken standing up and then laying down so you can see the effect of the cut piece with the background strip. I turned them into Birthday cards as I don't often do "hi" cards.

More great cards Melissa. I like the idea of online classes but I use youtube for free tutorials, and learn bits from them.
I would most love to attend a class and share with others in person.

I'm not real good at this blogging stuff, am I? I have really neglected it lately. We spent a lovely ten days in Cairns in the beginning of November which I am sure you will see in the layouts that I will be creating over the coming months and indeed in the last couple of Cybercrops. We stayed at Holloways Beach which is approx 10kms north of Cairns city and the beach is not like our South Aussie beaches where we have the soft hard packed sand, it was grainy and moved a lot under foot. In Cairns itself you cannot swim at the beach as the city has a more swampy beachfront which is muddy and tacky with lots of crabs. At this time of the year also, the waters are full of stingers so it is dangerous to swim in the sea unless in an enclosed netted off area for protection. My Christmas cards with North Pole papers.....

Last Christmas season I bought the Kaisercraft North Pole 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad as I really loved the colours of the papers. Of course I really didn't get a chance to use them much  because I had already made my cards earlier in the year so have been putting them to use in recent weeks for my cards for this Christmas Season. Inspired by Pinterest above.    A sketch from Paper Wishes for World Card Making Day was used for above and below.  Above is another Paper Wishes sketch for World Card Making Day and below is OWH sketch #236. The last of the scraps.....

The last of the glossy magazine scraps with toppers and extra bits. These went to Combat Cards SA just before the close off of Christmas cards.   Stamps are from a Clear Impressions set with Creative Stamping magazine. Die-cut is from Stampin' Up.     These are based on some sketches but it has been a while and I can't remember which ones they were so I  won't be able to share that this time around.
