My last batch of 2014 Christmas cards for Combat Cards.......

Sharing the last of the Christmas cards I have made for Combat Cards for this Christmas. In total I have managed to get 45 cards from the 6.5" x 6.5" Kaisercraft Gingerbread paper pad. I might squeeze one or two more literally from scraps out of it but I have pretty much totalled the whole pad.
I have used a variety of stamped greetings from Kaisercraft, The Stamps of Life, Technique Tuesday, Stampin' Up and some magazine freebies along with rub-ons from Kaisercraft and all the greetings in the paper pad. A few little stickers and embellishments here and there with some ribbon and doilies and I am happy with my achievements so I hope that others will enjoy them too.















Punches used are Fiskars: Scalloped edge, bracket, groovy rainbow, sunburst and lace.
Dies: Spellbinders label 8, Sizzlet - Serenity set, Postage stamp cut on Silhouette Cameo, Cricut - December 25th, Christmas Cheer & Home Accents.

Gosh Christmas is creeping up fast

I'm not real good at this blogging stuff, am I? I have really neglected it lately. We spent a lovely ten days in Cairns in the beginning of November which I am sure you will see in the layouts that I will be creating over the coming months and indeed in the last couple of Cybercrops. We stayed at Holloways Beach which is approx 10kms north of Cairns city and the beach is not like our South Aussie beaches where we have the soft hard packed sand, it was grainy and moved a lot under foot. In Cairns itself you cannot swim at the beach as the city has a more swampy beachfront which is muddy and tacky with lots of crabs. At this time of the year also, the waters are full of stingers so it is dangerous to swim in the sea unless in an enclosed netted off area for protection. Holloways beach had a small area to do this and the boys liked it but the current was strong and wavy and no sooner would they stand up than wave would come and dump them under again. My Christmas cards with North Pole papers.....

Last Christmas season I bought the Kaisercraft North Pole 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad as I really loved the colours of the papers. Of course I really didn't get a chance to use them much  because I had already made my cards earlier in the year so have been putting them to use in recent weeks for my cards for this Christmas Season. Inspired by Pinterest above.    A sketch from Paper Wishes for World Card Making Day was used for above and below.  Above is another Paper Wishes sketch for World Card Making Day and below is OWH sketch #236. The last of the scraps.....

The last of the glossy magazine scraps with toppers and extra bits. These went to Combat Cards SA just before the close off of Christmas cards.   Stamps are from a Clear Impressions set with Creative Stamping magazine. Die-cut is from Stampin' Up.     These are based on some sketches but it has been a while and I can't remember which ones they were so I  won't be able to share that this time around.
