I now have a huge build up of Christmas cards for the year so I'm sure some will hang around till next year or go to Combat cards for next year.

Back to some more from the Online Holiday card workshop and this is a duplicate design of Shari Carroll's  inspired card from Day 1. I cut the frame the same time I cut the frame for the first card I made so of course I had to put it to good use before it got lost in my stash. 
On day 5 Yana Smakula showed us how to create 3 different levels of the same design of tag for gifts and then to incorporate them onto a card. Here are my three tags: single layer, double layer then double layer with shaker of beads and sequins. 
Below they are incorporated into cards using papers from the North Pole Kaisercraft collection and collectables. There are some die-cut snowflakes from the December 25th Cricut cartridge and also the Home Accents cartridge.



Simple but effective and the receiver can use the tags on their own parcels by writing on the back of them.

Gosh Christmas is creeping up fast

I'm not real good at this blogging stuff, am I? I have really neglected it lately. We spent a lovely ten days in Cairns in the beginning of November which I am sure you will see in the layouts that I will be creating over the coming months and indeed in the last couple of Cybercrops. We stayed at Holloways Beach which is approx 10kms north of Cairns city and the beach is not like our South Aussie beaches where we have the soft hard packed sand, it was grainy and moved a lot under foot. In Cairns itself you cannot swim at the beach as the city has a more swampy beachfront which is muddy and tacky with lots of crabs. At this time of the year also, the waters are full of stingers so it is dangerous to swim in the sea unless in an enclosed netted off area for protection. Holloways beach had a small area to do this and the boys liked it but the current was strong and wavy and no sooner would they stand up than wave would come and dump them under again. My Christmas cards with North Pole papers.....

Last Christmas season I bought the Kaisercraft North Pole 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad as I really loved the colours of the papers. Of course I really didn't get a chance to use them much  because I had already made my cards earlier in the year so have been putting them to use in recent weeks for my cards for this Christmas Season. Inspired by Pinterest above.    A sketch from Paper Wishes for World Card Making Day was used for above and below.  Above is another Paper Wishes sketch for World Card Making Day and below is OWH sketch #236. The last of the scraps.....

The last of the glossy magazine scraps with toppers and extra bits. These went to Combat Cards SA just before the close off of Christmas cards.   Stamps are from a Clear Impressions set with Creative Stamping magazine. Die-cut is from Stampin' Up.     These are based on some sketches but it has been a while and I can't remember which ones they were so I  won't be able to share that this time around.
